March 25 - The reason for our existence. The source of our inspiration to fight against cancer. This day we lost our dear friend Richa.
We celebrate this day as our Foundation Day every year. This year we conducted a Arati Program in the premises of Lord Pashupatinath. The absolutely heavenly harmony and peace that we received cannot be mentioned in words.
The event was dedicated to everyone who lost their battles against cancer. May all the departed souls rest in peace and may all of us find the strength, courage and unity to fight against cancer.

World Cancer Day was celebrated in Mangalbazar with candle lighting ceremony to honour those strong individuals currently battling against cancer, and to commemorate those brave souls we have lost fighting against cancer. For further information, please click here.
Jointly organized by Richa Foundation and Wotu Tol Sudhar Samiti. Technical support by National Hospital and Cancer Research Center. Chief guest honorable mayor of Kathmandu Municipality Mr. Bidya Sunder Shakya highlighted on the event. Dr. Deepak S. Shrestha and Dr. Upasana Maskey conducted the Awareness sessions. Mrs. Babita Shakya a cancer survivor was present for everyones encouragement. A total of 230 ladies successfully received awareness and screening for breast and cervical cancer.

A grand cycle rally was organized by the SET council, St. Xavier's College, Maitighar with a theme of Ride Against Cancer. The event saw great enthusiasm from all fronts with the youth leading the way. The proceedings from the event were supported to Richa Foundation which will help tremendously in combating cancer.

A breast and cervical cancer awareness and screening program was organized in Ganabahal area in coordination with Lions Club of Kathmandu Creative Women and Chhemata Bikas Saving and Credit Cooperation Ltd. The technical expertise and support was delivered by National Cancer Hospital.
